This coming Friday is Daffodil Day which supports the Cancer Council. Daffodils are very special , joyful flowers ! They bring with them the message of Hope. Just looking at them brings joy to our day! May we all be encouraged as we look at a real life daffodil or a picture of them, and look upward just like a daffodil  does ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

I have two of the most funniest dolls I’ve ever known or seen that are on the  shelf near where I spend a lot of my day!  They make me smile every time I look at  them! They are not “ pretty” according to the world’s standard definition, but to me they are beautiful! They have pink skin, purple and pink hair, a pink nose, big blue eyes and very wide open mouths! Each part of them also reminds me of things! Their pink skin colour reminds me that no matter what our skin colour is we are loved by loving Lord,  are all precious in His sight, and our lives are very valued!  He died for us all! Their big blue eyes remind me to look at others through “ love eyes” and to try to  be open to “ see”   how they may be feeling. Their  wide open mouths encourage me to be thankful,  to express thanks and to  speak or write words to show that I care. Their coloured hair, reminds me that the Lord said He knows every strand of our hair! ( And it doesn’t matter if we have pink, purple or blue hair !)

Life is like a shopping trolley! We have fruit in the trolley, which is the love of our beautiful loving Lord and of our loved and loving family and friends. We have chocolate biscuits, which is the fun occasions and events that happen at       times through our lives. There is a bottle of milk, which is when we learning new things, just like milk helps kids in their growth as they are progressing through childhood. A loaf of bread is in the trolley also! Bread is the ordinary, everyday things that occur in a day, BUT even with these everyday things, they are so often spread thick with butter  and jam, which is the little blessings that we enjoy as they pop up though the day, especially if we take the time to look with our heart-eyes and see them. Butter is made from milk and cream. It needs to be beaten and churned to make butter. We sometimes also feel a bit “ battered” in our own lives! Live holds times of pain, weariness, and harder times. We endure through it! May your shopping trolley consist of many colourful packaged products, to reflect the everyday beauty of life! ❤️

After the recent rescue of the soccer team of boys in Thailand, I read that the boys found the Australian accent of Doctor Harry, who is an Australian doctor / diver, to be reassuring and calming. I thought that was very nice❤️. It is very true in our own day by day lives also! When we hear the voice of our loved ones, it can help to ease us if we are feeling a bit upset inside. We can recognise the voice of our loved in a mixture of voices in a room. Just hearing a family member or friend say “ hello” or “ good morning”, can make such a big difference to how we are feeling that day! Often also, people whose loved ones have passed away, say that they still “ hear” them “ talking” in a myriad of ways. May our voices be a loving help to all that we are in contact with today ❤️

Mr. Oliver, my teddy bear, looks nice and warm with his fur! But he was telling me that he still feels quite chilly! And it is an awful situation if he gets caught in the rain without an umbrella! His  fur goes quite odd! What really matters in life is more than outwards skin that we are in. That skin gets tired, bruised, sometimes burnt by hot water or the sun. It  becomes quite icy and goosebumpy due to cold weather air. Underneath it all, our spirit is dancing! Our spirit isn’t tired or weary or painful. It is the true us, in all of the beauty in the way that our Lord made each person in the world!

We are  now over half way through Winter! I was thinking about the letters in Winter and they can capture many important parts of our day to day lives! Life can sometimes feel a little “ jumbled” , so the letters are also! W stands for “We” . It is good that we have family and friends to share our walk through life, to  be “Encouraged”  by and to “Encourage”  through the “Everyday”  things. It is quite amazing how little unexpected things pop up in our day, just completely out-of -the -blue, to “Inspire” us! Sometimes I am on the Internet and reading the pages,  when all of a sudden a lovely picture appears  , or a person has posted about something that has happened that day that encourages me. May we take encouragement from the lives of those around us or that we are in contact with that day! The Every “ New’” day brings with it special little and big blessings! May we see with our inner eyes these blessings!  Being “ Told” that we are loved and are being “Thought” of, and the delight  in ourselves   “Telling’ others, is a hugely important part of life. “ Real” life holds happy, sad, tiring, encouraging and painful times. Throughout it all, love Is eternal! It is like the palm of a hand  carrying us through!

I was watching a very cute advert video for Amazon on the internet the other day! It started with a lady at the train station waiting for her train. She got out her red lipstick to do her lips again on the train platform...the only thing was that the red lipstick was actually a red crayon that she mistakenly brought instead! Then at the top of the screen, an amazon search bar appeared, and she typed in “ L for lipstick” to search on Amazon to buy some new lipstick. Then straight away a kindergarten /child care centre scene was shown. This had a picture of a little boy with lipstick all over his face and trying to draw a picture  using the lipstick! Then the Amazon search bar said “F is for face wipers” !!
There are so many different shades of lipstick colours, and each lipstick colour  has a uniquely different name! It is a bit like people in that everyone is  uniquely  different , and everyone brings their own special touch of beautiful colour to the lives of  those whom they  are with that day or are contact with ❤️ Thankyou to each of you for your lovely colour that you bring into the world ❤️

Hello ❤️ This was what I wrote in my Chirpings a few weeks ago.

Usually new  flowers don’t start to appear when Wintertime arrives, but Mum has a hanging basket ( which has been put into a pot instead as it works out better, as we don’t really have a place to “ hang” hanging baskets and look outside to see them ! This “ hanging basket in a garden pot” is now just outside our side glass windows, and we can enjoy seeing it! ) , and all of a sudden lovely orange flowers have appeared on it! It is a special touch of colour on a cold, grey, cloudy  and darkish skies day!
May we also bring a touch of colour into the day by day lives of our loved family, friends, people we may see that day, or strangers that are just waiting to be met and share a little chat with! Every one has their own  type of pain, struggles, and issues they are coping with and enduring through, and we may never know what a smile, an encouraging word, an empathising little chat, or a special “ I”m thinking of you. I care ..” message by words or action  has done to lift the inside of how another person is feeling!

This week we officially enter Wintertime. Winter isn’t really my favourite season of a the year! It is a cold weather time, and when looking through the windows the outdoors looks a bit “bleak”! But for other people, Winter is their favourite time  of the year! They go skiing , or visit the snow, or just enjoy spending time in front of a log fire. Though the outdoors areas of our homes may look grey, we are  colourful inside ourselves! I like to think that tears that we sometimes have inside us are then mixed with the warmth of the love of our loving Lord to form a colourful  rainbow inside us! May we draw comfort and strength from His love, through all the Wintery, Summery, Springy and Autumny days of our lives!

For Mothers Day, I gave Mum two golden spoons that I ordered online from the Internet. There are flowers on the ends of the spoons, in the shape of a
pansy and a sunflower. They look very pretty! Mum can use them when having her dessert at meals! True love doesn’t come in “ spoonfuls” . Deep down love is constant through the good times, hard times, painful times, happy times, sad times  and tiring times. It doesn’t add artificial “ sugar” or a “sugarine/sacharrine/sweetener” to life. It instead has deep down heart felt concern, care and empathy, and expresses itself in a multitude of deeply sincere and beautiful ways. To love and be loved is the greatest blessing in the whole wide world, and in all eternity!

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their new little son! Kate has given birth to a little baby boy ❤️  The arrival of a new little baby is a very special time in the life of a family! It is a time of joy, thankfulness and delight! Each new little child comes into the world with so many things to explore,  learn about, see, hear, touch, feel, listen to and experience in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. May we never, ever lose the childlike wonder that is inside us, that keeps us wanting to learn about or experience  new things each day! May we keep childlike eyes , as we live day by day! ❤️

I can remember when I was a little girl, that I  thought that the saying “ a laugh is a smile that has burst” was so funny! I am not sure why, but then and now I always think of watermelons when I think of that phrase! It is great to have a laugh! Sometimes life seems a little sad, and we are in a lot of pain. Then all of a sudden completely unexpectedly something makes us laugh! It is so funny that often when someone else starts to laugh, it contagiously makes us laugh also! May laugher leap into your lives this week! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„

We received an email from Coles the other day, listing their specials for the week. At the bottom of the page, they advertised a new product that they are selling now. It is ... strawberry trifle! It looked so very delicious! Mum and Dad decided to buy one and “ taste test” it themselves! Dad went down to Coles the following morning to get the trifle, which they thought would be yummy to have as a dessert for lunch. Hmm....the trifle is frozen and you need to thaw it in the fridge for 24 hour’s! It was a “delayed” taste test, until the next day but the verdict was...delicious! I am not “ into” trifles so I didn’t eat it but Mum and Dad really enjoyed it!

The Strawberry trifle was made up of strawberries, sponge cake , jelly, cream and custard. Trifles are a little bit like life! The sponge cake is our everyday life that we enjoy living day by day. The strawberries are the little joyful blessings that pop into our life unexpectedly, as sometimes strawberry trifle doesn’t contain berries and sometimes it does! Jelly is clear, and reflects water. Water is vital for life and living, and in the same way love is so very vital for living also! The love of our loving Lord, and  the love of our loved ones, family and friends. The cream is the “ dollops”  of things that occur in our lives, that add a richness to our daily living. Life is beautiful and we are so rich when we take the time to stop and appreciate all that we have. The custard is the painful “ stodgy” experiences that we have. Custard can taste awful if it is lumpy! The awful painful times in our life are much easier to endure, if like custard they stirred up with a spoon of love, faith and hope ❤️
