When Mum used to cook pikelets, she used to have a teatowel that she kept to cover over the cooked  pikelets as she was cooking, to keep them nice. It was fun seeing her adding to the pile, then covering them with the teatowel! The teatowel had a lovely baked aroma which was very warming and homely! Even now when I see that teatowel, I can smell the warm homely   pikelets smell!
The love of our loving Lord and of our family, both those who are with us as well as those who have passed away and gone on before us, is warm on the most coldest, wintry day or times in our lives. Just like the pikelets did with the teatowel, love leaves it beautiful scent on our hearts and on our pathway through life. It gives us strength to face that hour, it comforts, it sustains, it encourages, it will always and ever remain! May we remember that are forever wrapped in His teatowel of love!

I was writing a letter  the other day on my iPad and in it I was writing about “flower box windows”. But...I wrote the wrong word and instead it turned into “flower box widows”!! This made me laugh! I could just imagine many widows with boxes of colourful flowers on their heads! Some widows may have beautiful roses in the boxes, other ones may have  pretty pansies, whilst others have boxes of colourful tulips on their heads!
I send to you all many boxes filled with petals of love to comfort, encourage, and bring a touch of joy to your day. When you are tired or in pain, think of these petals of love I have sent, and may they reflect the love of our Loving Lord ❤️

It was so very odd on Good Friday! Even though the temperature was a bit coolish, the  sun was shining nice and brightly and it was lovely looking out through the windows at the sunny weather. Then, all of a sudden just before midday, the skies turned so very dark and there was not much sunlight at all! It got so dark that we needed to put on the kitchen lights! Then an hour later the skies were light and sunny again! It was quite funny as Mum, Dad and I all at the same time thought the same thing, without any of us saying a word! We all thought at the one time that it really reflected what happened on the original Good Friday when the skies turned dark at midday! It was  a very special reminder to us of the beautiful love of our Loving Lord as He was on the cross in the darkness!
In a world that sometimes may feel a bit dark,His love is like a bright candle that shines and guides is through. May we taken comfort in his loving light ❤️

HE is RISEN!
   HE is RISEN INDEED!

This week is Easter week ❤️ I hope it will be a very special time for you. Many people all around the world will be celebrating it differently this year, being confined to their home. Many people usually gather together at Churches or homes to share the Easter Time of reflection, celebration and services together. It is also often a time of catching up with family and friends. It is sad that people can’t be together face to face. At the same time, love for each other bonds us together,  cords that  aren’t broken by distance or time! Our Heavenly Father’s love and our loving Lord Jesus’ love is eternal, deep, wide and tall! They showed the huge love they have for us when Jesus opened wide His loving hands on the cross❤️ We are never alone. He tenderly watches over us to see each teardrop and smile.
May we find rest in His wide open arms ❤️

Autumn is here! When I think of Autumn colours, I think of orange and yellow which are very pretty colours! I think of yellow sunshine breaking through the branches of beautiful orange leaves Autumn trees! Though we may not be  well enough to be able to  walk through Autumn tree forests, we can look at pictures and be joyful that our loving Lord has painted every leaf. The love of our  loving Lord is like the sunshine that breaks through the Autumn trees, helping us in our times of pain and tiredness as well as celebrating us in our laughter and joy ❤️๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒน

Apart from the awfulness that so many people are becoming sick or passing away as a result of the coronavirus, it is also affecting the stock market and the value of the Aussie dollar against other currencies. The value keeps going down! This means that the prices of overseas products are going up! The “value” of love has never, ever changed over the years though from eternal past and will continue on to eternity future!  God is Love and He so much loves each of us! He made us because He loves, He died and rose for us because He loves us, and now He tenderly and lovingly watches over us in love! May we find rest,  hope and encouragement in His Love day by day ❤️

This year is a leap year, so  we have an extra day this week! I hope you have a beautiful day on the 29th! Each day is special! There is always something each day that happens or we see or we hear that makes us feel thankful and blessed! Just like a physical heartbeat our spirit gives a little “leap” of thankful joy!

We have had a problem with the taps in our kitchen. The water isn’t leaking, but it is just a bit hard to completely turn them off! They want to keep dripping!  Eventually Dad called the  “ Service Today” company that does plumbing as well as other work and a plumber came and fixed the washers on our taps! He said the taps were old though and that he would “ do what he could” and hoped that it would fix it!
Our lives may sometimes feel like those taps. We may have many outward or inward tears as we endure through pain, tiredness  or are missing loved ones who have gone ahead to our heavenly home. Our loving Lord tenderly watches over us, wraps a gentle invisible arm around us and quietly whispers: “ I care ...I understand” ❤️

Valentines Day is this week! It is a special day to say : “ I LOVE YOU” to someone that is special to you. We can though say it every day!  But it is also very nice to have a special day to say an extra I Love you! ❤️๐Ÿ’–❤️๐Ÿ’•❤️๐Ÿ’–
The Day that our loving Lord died for us was an extra special day where He showed His love! His arms were wide open on the cross, saying that He loves us this much!

When we had the stormy weather the other day, there was a big lightning strike, and we lost our  electricity! It was off for quite a few hours! It was a bit odd but the next day, Dad went to get some ice cream from a tub that is in the freezer part of our fridge ... but there was no ice cream in the tub! It had melted and “ escaped” through a crack in the tub and had leaked all over the freezer shelf! It was a mess!
May we also have hearts that have been “ melted” and give out love ❤️Loving words, Loving actions, Loving care in a million ways is the main part of living! May we do these  under the shelter of the  beautiful wings of love of our loving Lord ❤️

Last week on New Year’s Day, we had our annual “ new calendars putting up” time! We had a few that we were given for Christmas, as well as the Banyule Council and a chemist one. Then came the BIG decisions! Which calendar would be best placed in which room! They all had lovely and pretty pictures!
Just like a calendar, our life is made up of pictures of our lives as we travel through the months and years. Even in the sad times, our life pictures are pretty as there is always the comfort of our beautiful loving Lord right beside us, seeing every tear and making his caring smile mix with our tears to make a rainbow of love to surround our inner spirit ❤️

I think that this picture of the animals at the stable is lovely! They are looking over the manger with their own adoration to the newly born King ❤️May we all rejoice in our hearts each day as we praise our loving Lord, Savior and King! ๐Ÿ’—
