Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their new little son! Kate has given birth to a little baby boy ❤️ The arrival of a new little baby is a very special time in the life of a family! It is a time of joy, thankfulness and delight! Each new little child comes into the world with so many things to explore, learn about, see, hear, touch, feel, listen to and experience in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. May we never, ever lose the childlike wonder that is inside us, that keeps us wanting to learn about or experience new things each day! May we keep childlike eyes , as we live day by day! ❤️

I can remember when I was a little girl, that I thought that the saying “ a laugh is a smile that has burst” was so funny! I am not sure why, but then and now I always think of watermelons when I think of that phrase! It is great to have a laugh! Sometimes life seems a little sad, and we are in a lot of pain. Then all of a sudden completely unexpectedly something makes us laugh! It is so funny that often when someone else starts to laugh, it contagiously makes us laugh also! May laugher leap into your lives this week! ๐๐๐

We received an email from Coles the other day, listing their specials for the week. At the bottom of the page, they advertised a new product that they are selling now. It is ... strawberry trifle! It looked so very delicious! Mum and Dad decided to buy one and “ taste test” it themselves! Dad went down to Coles the following morning to get the trifle, which they thought would be yummy to have as a dessert for lunch. Hmm....the trifle is frozen and you need to thaw it in the fridge for 24 hour’s! It was a “delayed” taste test, until the next day but the verdict was...delicious! I am not “ into” trifles so I didn’t eat it but Mum and Dad really enjoyed it!
The Strawberry trifle was made up of strawberries, sponge cake , jelly, cream and custard. Trifles are a little bit like life! The sponge cake is our everyday life that we enjoy living day by day. The strawberries are the little joyful blessings that pop into our life unexpectedly, as sometimes strawberry trifle doesn’t contain berries and sometimes it does! Jelly is clear, and reflects water. Water is vital for life and living, and in the same way love is so very vital for living also! The love of our loving Lord, and the love of our loved ones, family and friends. The cream is the “ dollops” of things that occur in our lives, that add a richness to our daily living. Life is beautiful and we are so rich when we take the time to stop and appreciate all that we have. The custard is the painful “ stodgy” experiences that we have. Custard can taste awful if it is lumpy! The awful painful times in our life are much easier to endure, if like custard they stirred up with a spoon of love, faith and hope ❤️

I think that McDonalds restaurants all over the country would have been very busy with people travelling home on Easter Monday, and the travellers calling in for an easy and quick meal on the way home. As I am writing this, I can actually smell a burger aroma! It is funny how just thinking of things evokes smells, which then leads to memories of happy or sad or exciting or glad times spent doing things, when those aromas were present. Meals are special parts of the day! They are just not ingredients that enter our mouths! There has been someone who has taken the time to prepare the meal, mix ingredients, cook the meal and serve it . Food preparation is a service act of love! It is a blessing we enjoy everyday! May we be daily thankful for the love expressed through meals when someone cooks for us! ❤️

When the sun shines through a window it brings warmth to our body. When a loved one says “hello” to us, it brings warmth to our spirit and soul ❤️ May loving warmth surround your heart today! May both memories of your loved ones who have passed away as well as those physically with you bring you much special warmth, encompassed by the love of our Lord ❤️

I was looking at the hand/body washes at Coles online the other day, and there are lots of special flavours! Two of them are “ cherry blossom” and “ rose and cherry”. The sound of them is very nice! Life contains many “perfumed” moments! Someone may say something to us or do something for us, or we may see something that we think is lovely, or we our hearts may be touched for a million multitude reasons, and the “ perfume” of that special moment keeps remaining with us to encourage us. May you have many perfume moments this week ❤️
I was listening to the weather forecast on tv one night a few weeks ago and the weather person told us that the next days would have temperatures ranging between 22-28. The Weather Bureau was labeling it a “ mild wave”! Not a “ heat wave” or a “ cold snap”!
It is encouraging when someone “waves” their hands at us in a friendly way! It is a little “ hello” gesture, and it is usually when someone is a little distance away and so can’t call out an audible greeting. When we see flower petals or leaves blowing and “ waving” in the wind , may it remind us of our Loving Lord who created them, and be reminded that He is watching over us, dearly loves us, and is waving to us in love in a million ways through the day ❤️

Happy April time! ๐ธ๐ฆThere is a proverb that says April showers leads to May flowers. Sometimes teardrops and weeping leads to a beautiful garden of flower petals encircling our heart. It is through the hard times in our days and our life we seem to even more seek to rest in and rely on the little everyday blessings that come in our lives, and love tenderly carries us through, like a secure hand holding us in its palm ❤️

The Winter Olympics is being held in South Korea at the moment. I think that some of the sports would be quite scary, when coming down at such high speeds in the snow! You can’t really “ close your eyes and hope for the best” ! There are many injuries that take place, with the speed levels that are reached.
Our lives are lovingly watched over by our loving Lord. Whether time speeds past, or just slowly tick tocks along, there is not a teardrop that He doesn’t see or a pain that He doesn’t empathise with. Through the cold chilly weather conditions of the Winter Olympics, and the sunny sunshine weather of the Summer Olympics, His love is eternal ❤️

It is Valentines Day next week! ❤️ Every day life is so very special as we give out and receive love from our loved ones! Love has a beautiful inner strength to carry us when we are physically, mentally and emotionally weary and tired. We are held so very, very tightly and securely in the palm of our beautiful loving Lord’s hands.
I was reading in the Herald Sun the other day that SPC is selling their IXL brand of jams. They are going to sell it to an Australian owned company, so the business will remain in Australia. They are selling it as they said that people aren’t using as much jam as they used to! I don’t know if that is quite correct! I think that lots and lots of people still enjoy having scones, jam and cream , and a piece of toast for breakfast with thickly spread jam on it is very much enjoyed by many people to start their day! I can literally smell the nice aroma of freshly cooked toast right now!
Toast is a very special part of breakfast time for many people all around the world! It is very easy to cook and is a reliable form of energy food to “kick start” our days! Everyone has their own special preference as to how much it is toasted /burnt! It is an “ everyday comfort food” ! Life contains many “everyday blessings”! Talking and being with our loved ones, having the sunshine come in through a window onto us, hearing a bird chirping outside, and looking at the colourful floral and leafy world we live in are day by day very special experiences. May we take delight and comfort in these lovely everyday joys ❤️❤️

The Tennis Australian Open is on at the moment! There are tennis players ( and fans ! ) that have come from all around the world to play or watch the game! Over the years there have been some long 5 set matches that have gone on and on for hours! When these tennis matches have occurred, often the players have said that the fans who were watching the matches and cheering when a point was won, really encouraged them as they were tiring with each passing minute in the game. May we also be encouragers to our loved ones and those we see day by day. They may be feeling very tired and painful, with life a little hard, for them, but if we show “ love -love” through our words and actions, we can help to carry them high above the tennis net of life and help to renew their weakening strength ❤️

This year, our purple/blue agapanthas have bloomed so well! Last year, I am not sure why but they just didn’t seem to want to appear! Agapanthas have such large flowers on them, and a very long narrow stem! They look up to the sky, rooted in the ground. It is a bit like life. We are rooted in the “ love soil” of the love of our Loving Lord, our family and our friends. When we are in pain, or tired or are feeling weary, we may feel that like the thin stem of an agapantha, we don’t have much strength. May we find encouragement from, rest, and find strength in the “ soil of love”. May we look upwards just like an agapantha flower does, and let inner beauty, kindness and care for others bloom through!
